About the Accommodation
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Guest House Ren has been used for family gatherings, stays, events, and as a relaxing community space.
The house accommodates up to 6 guests (Western-style bedroom for 2 guests and Japanese tatami room for up to 6 futons), and features an open kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and shared lounge area.
Guests especially appreciate the harmonious blend of traditional Japanese architecture with modern interior design.

Two bedrooms are available: one Japanese-style and one Western-style.
The 12.5-tatami living room includes a wood-burning fireplace and a large couch sofa. Free Wi-Fi is available.

The dining room features 100-year-old antique furniture from England, offering a unique fusion of Japanese and Western styles.

The adjacent 10.5-tatami Japanese room features a tokonoma alcove, built-in shelves, and traditional shoin-style design. Up to six futons can be laid out at night.

The Western-style bedroom features tatami flooring, plaster walls, shoji screens, and washi paper lighting, creating a calming Japanese-modern atmosphere.

The former horse stable has been renovated into a washroom and toilet. The low ceiling height enhances the authentic charm of a traditional Japanese farmhouse.

The bathroom is authentically designed with Towada stone flooring, hinoki cypress walls, and a small Japanese garden view. Enjoy a relaxing bath surrounded by the soothing scent of hinoki wood.

The property includes a bamboo grove, butterbur field, chestnut trees, and persimmon trees. Guests are welcome to harvest seasonal produce for personal use on the day of consumption only.

Children under school age without bedding stay free. Pets are allowed up to the earthen-floor entrance area.

The 4-meter-wide kitchen is ideal for group cooking. Fully equipped with cookware, refrigerator, microwave, gas oven, tableware, and cutlery—perfect for a stay that feels like living in Japan.

A private music studio renovated from a 110-year-old kura warehouse is available on the property.
Available for an additional fee (one group per day).
Ideal for individual practice or band rehearsals.
The studio may also be booked independently without accommodation, so early reservation is recommended.

・Available hours: 9:00–20:00, no time limit within hours

■ Wood-Burning Fireplace
・Enjoy a relaxing winter experience with the fireplace.
・Staff will explain usage on arrival; please follow the manual for safety.
・Firewood is provided with an additional nightly fee, payable on-site.

December–February: JPY 3,000 per night (tax included)
Other months: JPY 2,000 per night (tax included)

■ No Air Conditioning
Traditional Japanese houses stay cool in summer; therefore, no air conditioning is installed.
Electric fans are provided. Daytime may be warm, but nights are comfortable with open windows.

■ Insects
Screens are installed, but due to the natural countryside environment, insects may enter.
Insect spray and mosquito coils are provided.
