Outline of the property
We have decided to open a farmhouse homestay for people from all over Japan and the world. You can see Iwakisan in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, and gaze out into the never-ending scenery of trees. We hope that you will enjoy the taste of Tsugaru and local cuisine and fall in love with Hirosaki City through this inn. You will meet new people and discover new things, and feel at home. We will be waiting for you with delicious vegetables and a big smile.

We make every effort to ventilate the building as much as possible by opening windows and operating exhaust fans, etc.

Fresh wild vegetables including the famous "Matagi-meshi" and
Dishes such as animal meat (Bear, deer, and wild boar).
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy the natural, seasonal flavors of the famous Iwakisan mountain.

What is Matagi-mei?
This is Japan's first kamameshi (rice cooked in a kettle) made with seven different ingredients, including chicken, maitake mushroom, bamboo shoots, gobo, carrots, mitsuba (Japanese parsley), and konnyaku, cooked right in front of your eyes using solid fuel. After lighting the fire and taking a bath in the hotel's bathhouse, the rice is ready to be cooked when you return to your seat, so our regular customers enjoy the bath as well.

The time required: It takes about 15 minutes on foot.

Iwakisan Shrine https://iwakiyamajinja.or.jp/
Iwakisan, also known as Tsugaru Fuji, is a shrine located at the foot of the beautiful Mt.
It has a history of over 1,200 years since it was built.
We use wood from the northernmost township of Honshu and prefectural cypress.

The old building withstood 390 years of weathering.
The shrine pavilion, which was rebuilt in the era of the feudal government after being burnt down many times, is so massive and beautiful that it is called "Oku no Nikko". Iwaki, which is the symbol of Tsugaru, is called "Oyama" or "Oiwagi-sama" and has become a mountain of faith for the people of Tsugaru.
