Currently, the house in the top image is not available for accommodation. Bears have appeared in the area around the farm stay Kamado. For the safety of our guests, we ask that you stay in the main house, which is a short distance away from the house in the picture. For safety reasons, we do not offer outdoor experiences. Dinner will be served in the building pictured if requested.
There are many farm stays around Japan’s deepest Tazawako lake, yet none as relaxing as ours. We have been hosting since 2010 and have been offering an unforgettable experience to travelers from all over the world.

Leaving was the best part
The web portal states that this is a forest farm stay, supreme relaxation in the middle of the forest. This turned out not to be correct. The hosts have two buildings. One, a small building, has a forest only behind it, and we spent around two hours having dinner here. It is likely where the photo was taken with the young woman on the porch. Guests do not sleep in this building. Instead, guests spend almost all their time in a much larger building that is situated right next to a main road and each morning you wake up to the sounds of cars and trucks going by. There is no forest here. All that is here is the house and worn out sheds and a worn out driveway. Also, other peoples homes are right next door. As for relaxing, there is no such spot in this house to do so except two couches in a hallway that you stare into rooms. There is also no farm land around this building and no sign of a garden. One should do a satellite view of the address to confirm this.

The host
The host is one of the most friendly host that we have experienced during stay in farm stay. We really enjoy the traditional food with Japanese grill. Grandpa took us to snow mobile. I can tell you that this guys is a great racing when he was young.

Beautiful Memories
Our stay at Kamado was unforgettable! Both the owners are very friendly, warmth and welcome, breakfast and dinner are also awesome. This is a very special place that we spent a beautiful winter with snowy and puppy. Kamado was definitely the highlight of our trip to Japan in this time. Would definitely recommend.
Looking forward to be there soon again.
