Outline of the property
Located near samurai residences and cherry blossom trees, this 135-year old house is surrounded by 200-year old trees. With cherry blossoms, a vegetable garden, Satsuki bonsai trees, persimmon trees, and chestnut trees, you can experience a glimpse into the country life. It is also recommended for those who want to enjoy strolling the beautiful streets of Kakunodate in each of the four seasons. We are doing our best to protect the houses and mansions that have been maintained by our ancestors, and to make Kakunodate a second home for our guests!


Covid-19 Preventative Measures
When you arrive at the hotel, we will confirm that you have disinfected your hands, taken your temperature, and worn a mask.

-Cherry blossoms along the banks of the Hinkonai River: 10 minutes on foot.
The cherry blossom trees along the banks of the Hinkinai River in -Kakunodate, Senboku City, stretch for 2 km on both sides of the river and 2 km downstream in the center of Ochiai Park. It is one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Akita Prefecture and has been selected as one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan.

-Kakunodate Samurai Residence: 3 minutes by car, 15 minutes by foot
Kakunodate Bukeyashiki, also known as the Little Kyoto of Michinoku, is a town of samurai residences and merchant houses, each with its unique atmosphere. Walking along the street of samurai residences, you can see the residences of the late Edo period, the main house, the gate, the storehouse, and the square shape. The street of samurai residences was selected as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in September 1976 and is protected as a cultural asset.

-Lake Tazawa (statue of Tatsuko): 30 minutes by car
This is the deepest lake in Japan, and the whole area is designated as Tazawako-Hakurei Prefectural Natural Park, which is also a scenic spot selected as one of the 100 scenic spots in Japan.

-Nyuto Hot Spring Resort: About 50 minutes by car
Nyuto Onsen is a hot spring resort located at the foot of Mt. Nyuto in Towada-Hachimantai National Park.

Access
By JR
From JR Kakunodate Station, take the bus (Inazawa Line) and get off at JA Kakunodate-mae.
Take the Inazawa Line bus from JR Kakunodate Station and get off at JA Kakunodate-mae.

The bus departs from Kakunodate Station at 12:31 or 17:16 and is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Please inquire in advance if you would like a shuttle service between Kakunodate Station and the inn. It takes about 10 minutes from JR Kakunodate Station.

When coming by car
From the Morioka IC on the Tohoku Expressway, about 55 minutes via Route 46.
There is a parking lot on the premises. There is a parking lot on the property (up to 4 cars can be parked).
