If you arrive at FUKIYA before check-in time, you can keep your luggage and use the car park until check-in time.

After check-in, all guests are invited to a brief self-introduction and guided tour of the guesthouse.

■Bengara dyeing experience
Why not try "Bengara Dyeing" in FUKIYA, the town of Bengara? You can make your own original products under the guidance of a dyeing artisan.

■engara stencil and mud dyeing experience
Experience stencil dyeing using Bengara. Anyone from adults to children can do it easily. (Duration: from 15 minutes).
Anyone can easily make a stencil by simply applying the stencil to a piece of cloth and applying paint. Please experience the excitement of taking the mould and making it.

■Bengara baking experience at Fukiya
Even first-timers can try their hand at clay twisting as if they were a potter. You will carefully shape the pottery of your choice, from plates, cups and other ceramics to ornaments of the Chinese zodiac, one by one, while consulting with the potter. For those who want to enjoy the texture of the finished piece, you can also fire it in a climbing kiln. The finished pieces will be delivered to your home within two months.

■Making chilli peppers
This company produces spicy seasonings using chilli peppers produced in FUKIYA, Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture as the main ingredient. 2012 saw the company relocate from Osaka to Takahashi as part of the Regional Development Cooperation Volunteers and, struck by the taste of red yuzu pepper it encountered during its community activities, began making it as a local speciality product.

To help you enjoy a more fulfilling visit to Suiya, veteran tourist guides will guide you through the streets of Suiya and the history of the copper mines.

FUKIYA Furusato Village is a town deep in the mountains at an altitude of 550 metres.
Traffic is inconvenient, but the town of FUKIYA is impressive when you pass through the mountain roads and suddenly appear.　Please take the time to visit.

　Shin-Osaka → JR Okayama Station: approx. 50 mins.

　From JR Okayama Station to JR Bicchu Takahashi Station: approx. 50 mins on the Hakubi Line, 35 mins on the limited express Yakumo.

　From Niimi IC of Chugoku Expressway, 21 km via National Road 180 - Prefectural Road 33 - Prefectural Road 85. 40 mins.Prefectural Road 300 is narrow, so please turn onto a wide-area farm road.
