♦ PLAYSIS EAST TOKYO
We opened a new hostel near Asakusa in July, 2018.
It’s a few minutes’ walk from the nearest station, seven minutes’ walk from Asakusa station and
ten minutes’ walk from Skytree. It’s conveniently located.
Our hostel has local characteristics in many ways.
We have a rooftop lounge from which you can enjoy a fantastic view of Skytree.
And you can enjoy the animations of “Hokusai” on the walls inside some of our beds.
We have a female dormitory (2nd fl.), a male dormitory (4th fl.) and a mix dormitory (3rd fl.).
On the 5th floor we have a suite room other than a Japanese-style dormitory.
Especially the suite room has some specific points. If you open the bathroom window, there is
Skytree in front of you!!
The dormitories on the 2nd, the 3rd and the 4th floors have some concept beds.
You can see the animations of Hokusai or “Onihei”(Japanese cartoon character) on the walls
inside some of our beds.
And we have some beds in which you can experience virtual reality!!
We express the transition from the old times to the modern times.
We exhibit traditional handicrafts (Sumida-modern) which were made by local people.
And we have summer events like Mikoshi-katsugi”. Mikoshi is like a small Japanese shrine and weighs over 500 kilos. You carry it on your shoulder and walk around the town with local people.
We have local tours in which you can experience the deep sides of “Sumida” with local guides.
We also have special events in which you can communicate with local people.
We have a cutting-edge translation machine and use smart locks for the security.
Your safety and comfort are our top priority.
